When I visited last time Computronic 5000, s.l and noticed that they used their office as test area, I felt immediately homely and happy. What they tested were tubelight retrofits in two different temperatures, of course manufactured with Seoul Semiconductor LEDs.
Computronic 5000, s.l is a manufacturer of lighting solutions which is able to satisfy any specific customer needs, including an exclusive service of consulting service, creation and manufacture of solutions on demand. The eight lines of production include more than 2,500 references, giving answers to most needs and styles of illumination: interior design, modern, traditional and classic design, commercial illumination, architectonic illumination, outside illumination of private spaces and urban illumination.
I still remember the times when creating a tubelight retrofit based on LEDs seemed to be impossible – not sufficient lumen, too long design phase, too costly, and last but not least also some troubles concerning heat dissipation where the commonly heard obstacles. And that’s true, some years back it was not yet the time to think about such solutions.
Now we can see many tubelight replacements based on LEDs, since the lumen per watt as well as the lumen per cent values became much better than ever before. Also the development of a solution became faster as ever – it took them not even two months to design the tube replacements, based on Seoul Semiconductor 5630 LEDs put on PCB strips. The advantages of such a solution are clear: low power consumption, much longer lifetime and such much less maintenance compared to tubes, and expressed in terms of total cost of ownership a clear advantage for the new solution.
Whenever I see such a new and advanced solution, I feel happy knowing that we are all on the right way to an energy efficient and green future of smart and easy to create lighting solutions – based on our LEDs!
